About Vanessa
First, Thank you for checking out my bio and being interested in learning a little bit about me.
When I “grew up” started out with a career based in art, decorating, and interior design, then more recently added on my career as a real estate agent. For years I worked with clients on their home decorating and design projects. Later, I started rehabbing distressed properties (and selling them myself) and consulting with other investors on properties they were also rehabbing. As I continue work as a designer and investor, I LOVE working in real estate. I had a very successful first two years in real estate, becoming a top producer, and my third year is already on track to surpass those in the first few months.
My favorite part of working as an agent/broker is helping my clients. The reason I started rehabbing distressed properties was 1. To make beautiful homes for people and 2. To give people jobs. My favorite part was seeing the faces of the new owners and how excited they were to be in their new house. I STILL love that feeling! Knowing that I have the knowledge and the means to help someone find a home that fits their needs and I can help them through the process from start to finish, is so fulfilling. I walk my client’s through the good and bad, making sure they understand the entire process and think of future costs they may endure.
Another thing that is important to me as far as being an agent / broker is, getting to know my clients. I believe that you really need to feel comfortable with me. Selling or buying your home is very important. We need to establish a relationship between us where you feel comfortable asking me anything and knowing that I am here working for YOU. If for any reason at all you do not feel like we have that connection, I may not be the person for you, and I understand that. It is not about making every single sale to me. It is about building relationships. It should be easy for both of us to establish that.
As an Interior Designer, I believe I have an advantage over some other real estate agents, I can easily envision a house with simple or even major changes (if a client is interested in making changes). For example, when buying, you may find the perfect home in the perfect location, but struggle to get past the existing interior features, so you pass on the property. I can help bring the vision, so you don’t miss out on the property’s true potential and possibly instant equity. I can also help prepare your home for selling by staging or doing simple things like re-arranging furniture to make your rooms look larger or make the flow of your house appeal to more buyers.
